How to Configure Webmail for iPhone

Your new email account can be easily configured on your iPhone. Follow the instructions below to learn how to configure your email so that you can send and receive emails from your apple mail app.

1. Log into your email.

Log into your Webmail email account.

2. Go to 'Mail Configurations'

On the left-hand side menu, click on ‘Mail Configuration’

3. Click on ‘Manual Settings’.

In the middle of the screen you will see ‘Configure Mail Client’. Click on the ‘Manual Settings’ tab to show the email setting for your account. We will use these settings later in the process.

4. Go to settings on your iPhone.

On your iPhone, go to settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add mail account

5. Fill out email profile.

Create a profile for the email account by filling in the name of the account, the email address, the password you would normally use to access the email (this should match the password used to login via webmail), and then an optional description of the email account.

6. Fill in email settings.

Using the settings from webmail, fill in the corresponding information into the email account settings on your iPhone. Under ‘incoming mail server’, The ‘Host name’ is  the ‘Incoming Server’ in webmail. The ‘User Name’ is the ‘Username’ in webmail. Finally, for ‘Password’, use the same password from webmail. For ‘Outgoing Mail Server’, the ‘Host Name’ is the ‘Outgoing Server’ in webmail. The ‘User name’ and ‘Password’ are not required.

6. Select Mail

Next you will select any additional apps that the account will communicate with. Make sure ‘Mail’ is selected, and tap ‘Save’

6. All done

You can now send and receive emails for the desired account from your apple mail app.
